Opening reception for "Nancy Erickson: Kindred Spirits and Fashion and Textiles from the MMAC Permanent Collection." This exhibition highlights work seldom seen or never before exhibited. Inspired by the magnificent cave art found at Chauvet Pont d’Arc and Lascaux. Presented in conjunction with fashions from the vintage clothing collection, historic costumes from the UM Theatre and Dance department, 15th and 16th century European tapestries and pieces from the Helen Cappadocia Collection of Southeast Asian Textiles as well as unique extravagant accessories. Reception precedes.
