Lecture: "A Short History of the Goodwill Moon Rocks"

Event Detail
Date: Friday, November 2nd
Time: 6:00 pm
Description:

In 1969 the Apollo 11 mission brought the first samples of the moon to Earth. Later, Apollo 17 brought the last samples to the planet. Portions of these samples were distributed to states and countries for diplomatic reasons. These small samples are known as the Good Will Moon Rocks. Since that time samples have been stolen, lost, sold and sometimes faked.
