The Montana Museum of Art & Culture is currently featuring Labor and Leisure: Realist and Impressionist Masterpieces from a Private Collection, a stunning exhibition of paintings from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Works by Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Alfred Sisley, Jules Breton and others focus on the dramatic changes in rural and urban life sparked by the Industrial Revolution and other dramatic cultural changes that occurred during this period.
Herbert Swick, an MMAC docent and MMAC Advisory Council member, will present a special lecture that explores some of these changes as revealed through stories about the artists, the paintings, and the times. A special docent-led tour of the exhibition is part of this event for MOLLI members and a guest.
FREE with MOLLI membership. A RSVP by 4:00 pm on Friday, November 16, is required to attend the lecture and/or tour. Membership will be checked at the door. Guests must be accompanied by a current member.

Two docent-led tours of the exhibition will be available under this special promotion: Wednesday, November 28, after the 7:00 pm lecture and Thursday, November 29, at 11:00 am. One must RSVP by the stated deadline to participate in either tour due to a limited museum tour capacity of 28 people per tour – first come, first served, no exceptions.
